Another WIP

I was in full-blown stash-reduction mode when I decided to join this sock yarn club. I generally resist clubs because I can be very picky when it comes to variegation; so I'm not thrilled about paying for it sight unseen. If it's too drastic and results in clashing pools and flashes, I don't want to wear it or knit it. I do, however, like tonal and slight variegation; so I figured this was the right club for me.

Part of the deal I made with myself, however, is that no club yarn would become part of the stash. It had to be the next project in the queue once the yarn had arrived. That being the case, I present to you "Conwy" from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road.

I am REALLY enjoying this knit. The pattern is easy and looks great with this yarn. The yarn itself is so soft and feels so nice that I can't put it down. I'd planned to put this project on a daily rotation with two other projects I'm working on, but that idea went out the window when I picked this sock up for the second day in a row. I suspect that I'll finish this first sock and then go back to my idea of a rotation with the second.

I'll post another picture once the sock is done. Until then, I look forward to seeing what everyone else is doing with their skeins.

Eva...the pattern you chose is working out wonderfully! I'm so glad you like the colourway and the yarn! I'm always on the search for great base yarns and feedback always helps - I know I have a winner! :)

That is beautiful! The pattern is so perfect for the yarn. I haven't decided on a pattern for my yarn yet but I hope my socks will be as pretty as yours.

Wow, the socks are looking gorgeous! I have not chosen a pattern for mine yet. I can't stop touching it though!!! I love being able to see how it knits up. Just beautiful.

Stunning combination of pattern and yarn. And a lovely execution too! I am really looking forward to seeing something on my needles--but alas, my skein went into stash in the short term. I agree with you that this club makes way more sense than many of the "site unseen" variagated options out there. I am certainly quite pleased after seeing the first shipment. Thanks, Roxanne!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm on the second sock and still loving every minute of knitting with this yarn. I know that whatever y'all choose, it will look great and you'll enjoy knitting it. Will post a picture of the pair when I'm done with them.
